We provide family office, fund management, external asset management, and concierge-level services with a great team of managers dedicated to making your money work for you.

With a team of strong entrepreneurial and managerial personnel at the helm, our expertise lies in providing highly customisable financial services with multiple fund offerings, including our own in-house high performing bespoke funds—a one-stop firm for all your wealth management needs.

Rockstead is a Licensed Fund Management Company (LFMC) holding a Capital Markets Services (CMS) license in fund management with the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS). We are also one of the eight funds that qualify as a Global Investor Program fund (GIP) administered by the Economic Development Board of Singapore. As a Qualified Foreign Institutional Investor (QFII), our clients can also enjoy the flexibility of making direct investments in all the listed securities in China.

Justinus Nurman

Chief Operations Officer

  • A distinguished career spanning 25 years in various industries and disciplines, with expertise are in financial, commercial, and organisation development.
  • Head of Global Travel Retail with British American Tobacco (Indonesia, South Korea, and Hong Kong).
  • Working experience with Arthur Andersen and General Electric.
  • Degree in accounting from Tarumanagara University and MBA majoring international business from Monash University.
  • Certified internal auditor and project manager.

Stephen Lai

Chief Investment Officer

  • Before joining, Stephen was the Head of Risk Management for Corporate, Commercial & Institutional Banking at Standard Chartered Bank Singapore.
  • He has had various work experiences across the globe including Standard Chartered Bank (HK), UBS (London), Nomura and Lehman Brothers (Tokyo).
  • His area of expertise includes algorithmic trading, portfolio construction, risk management and the application of quantitative methods to uncover market anomalies.
  • A Master’s degree in Finance, majoring in Quantitative Finance and Investment from London Business School.
  • Graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Audrey Koh

Chief Corporate Officer

  • CPA and member of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants with more than 20 years of commercial experience in various industries.
  • 10 years with British American Tobacco Group in roles and functions including commercial manager, internal audit, and Finance Head.
  • Experience as Finance Controller with Remy Martin International.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy (Hons) with a minor in Information Technology from Nanyang Technological University.

Ng Kai Hwai

Chief Finance Officer

  • Ng Kai Hwai was appointed as the CFO of the Group on 25 September 2023. He is responsible for the overall financial accounting reporting as well as risk management matters relating to the Group.
  • Prior to joining the Group, Ng Kai Hwai was the Audit Senior Manager of BDO LLP (Singapore) from November 2019 to September 2023, where he was responsible for establishing the firm’s Financial Services Group, as well as conducting external audit works for the firm’s clientele, comprising audit clients mainly from financial services industry, such as financial institutions, fund managers, funds, fintech companies and others.
  • His experience during the tenure with BDO Singapore LLP, includes audit and accounting advisory works, where his primary objectives are carrying out external audit engagements on various regulated entities. In addition, he was also tasked in reviewing the regulatory compliance aspects of entities, such as compliance with MAS’s regulatory requirements and regulatory reporting to the MAS.
  • During his tenure in BDO Singapore LLP, he left for a short period of time between October 2021 and March 2022 to join V Group Holding Pte Ltd as a Senior Group Accountant. He re-joined BDO Singapore LLP in March 2022. Prior to joining BDO Singapore LLP, he was the Audit Manager of Deloitte & Touche LLP from June 2017 to November 2019. Prior to joining Deloitte & Touche LLP, he was the Assistant Manager of Deloitte PLT in Malaysia from December 2011 to June 2017. During his tenure with Deloitte & Touche LLP and Deloitte PLT, he was involved in audit assignments of private and public listed companies.Ng Kai Hwai graduated with a diploma and Advanced Diploma in Business Studies (Accounting) from Tunku Abdul Rahman College, Malaysia in 2009 and 2011, respectively. He later obtained his Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Accounting and Finance from Sheffield Hallam University, United Kingdom in 2011. He has also completed his examinations pursuant to his membership of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants in 2023.

Xue Ming

Executive Director (China)

  • Mr. Xue is a Certified legal counsel in the People's Republic of China (PRC). Having graduated from Jiangsu University with a Bachelor in Law in 2000, he joined the legal profession, starting out with Jiangsu Hao Ran Law firm as a practising lawyer. His last position was a Partner with Jiangsu Yuan Bo Law Finn.
  • Mr. Xue subsequently went into investment, setting up 2 funds with a combined AUM of RMB160 million. These funds are green-themed with a focus on renewal energy, environment, landscaping and agriculture.
  • Mr. Xue joined Rockstead Group in 2019, and spearheads investment funds in the renewable energy space in South-east Asia and the PRC. He is also instrumental in kick-starting the process of our application for the QFLP and QFII licenses in China. Mr. Xue currently holds the position of Executive Director, and takes charge of the Company's clean and renewable energy investment in South-east Asia.

Keith Lim

Head of Business Risk and Compliance

  • Keith brings with him over 8 years of experience in compliance and operations in the financial industry. In his latest role as Senior Operations & Treasury Manager with HugoSave, he worked with Compliance, Product and Technology teams to implement automated solutions for operations, compliance, client onboarding and support. Prior to that, as Operations Manager with SYFE Pte Ltd, he ensured that KYC/AML and onboarding of new clients adhered to MAS regulations. He was also a coach for a team of 7 operation analysts.
  • Keith holds Bachelor of Arts in Business Management with Finance 2nd class honors, Advanced Certification in Governance, Risk and Compliance – IBF Qualified (Level 1) and the latest addition is Diploma in Financial Crime Compliance.

Shawn Tan

Head Of Investment Advisory

  • Shawn Tan was appointed Head of Investment Advisory at Rockstead in January 2024.
  • For eight years prior, Shawn honed his skills at UOB, partnering with Senior Client Advisors to deliver insightful investment strategies to high-net-worth individuals within Private Wealth. He played a vital role in shaping the bank's investment landscape, serving as a voting member of the UOB Personal Financial Services Investment Committee from 2019 to 2022.
  • Shawn's diverse career encompasses not only client-facing advisory roles at HSBC, Citibank, and ANZ, but also the dynamic world of hedge fund FX trading. This broad financial knowledge allows him to approach investment challenges with a unique perspective.
  • He holds an Honors Degree in Civil & Environmental Engineering from Nanyang Technological University and actively gives back to the community, currently serving as Assistant Treasurer at Teck Ghee Community Club.

Francis Tan

  • Before Rockstead, Francis was the First Vice President of PVR, Malaysia Offshore Market at UOB. Managing a portfolio size of S$250 million with clients throughout the Asia Pacific region. A specialist in client acquisition and management.
  • Bachelor of Business in Economics and Finance from RMIT (Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology) University.
  • FY 2019 Sales Achievement Award UOB.
  • Top 5 CPC Relationship Manager for 3 years (2014-2016) straight at Citibank.
  • Other various top awards throughout his time in Citibank from 2008-2013.

Benjamin Wong

Head of External Asset Management (EAM)

  • Benjamin manages a team of Client Advisors within Rockstead Capital.
  • He has more than 23 years of experience in the banking industry, in senior positions across retail and private banking, and prior to joining Rockstead, he was running the EAM business with 8 Capital Asset Management.
  • His previous banking roles include Head of Treasury Specialists across Retail and High net-worth segments, covering both Singapore and International Markets in OCBC Bank; as well as heading the HNW business in sales, acquisition and service teams in HSBC Bank.
  • In his banking career, he was instrumental in projects which helped the banks evolve to enhance client delivery and experience of banking services, improving banking productivity and competitiveness in the industry.
  • Benjamin was also a regular speaker of bank client events and university talks: covering areas of financial markets, financial literacy and investments; as well as developing curriculum and conducting training for relationship managers in various banks. His expertise and experience have also won him the coveted IBF Aspire Award in 2017.

Benjamin Dumke

  • Benjamin has 16 years’ experience in wealth and asset management with a focus on portfolio construction and relationship management.
  • Following the completion of his high school education in the US and the attainment of a Bachelor of Finance degree in Switzerland, Benjamin inaugurated his professional journey in Liechtenstein back in 2007.
  • Calling Singapore home since late 2009, he made the successful jump from private banking to independent asset management after completing his MBA in 2015.
  • He is a veteran portfolio manager having guided clients through the Global Financial Crisis, the European Sovereign Debt Crisis, the pandemic rebalancing as well as the China crackdown.

Alex Tan

  • Stepping into the ranks of Rockstead Capital in January 2021, Alex's professional journey took flight. Prior to his role at Rockstead, Alex had a notable stint as a Client Advisor and Vice President at United Overseas Bank (UOB). Over the course of his 9-year tenure with UOB, Alex adeptly managed a clientele portfolio boasting a cumulative Asset Under Management of S$250 million.
  • Alex's comprehensive proficiency in the realm of wealth management spans over a decade, setting the stage for his seamless integration into the Rockstead team. His specialization encompassed an array of financial instruments, ranging from structured solutions and dual currency transactions to FX, derivatives, bonds, unit trusts, hedge funds, and risk management solutions.

  • Highly skilled in all aspects of the mortgage process and wealth management. Excellent communicator with a strong ability to build rapport with clients. Proven ability to exceed sales goals and consistently deliver high-quality service.

Joel Quek

  • With over two decades of experience in the financial industry, Joel Quek is a seasoned banker with a background encompassing Insurance, SME Banking, Global Markets, and Privilege Banking.
  • In his most recent position at UOB, Joel served as a Treasury Specialist, offering invaluable assistance to Relationship Managers in guiding their clients' investment decisions.
  • Joel has successfully completed an executive certificate program in Wealth Management from NUS, and his credentials are backed by certifications from IBF and SCI.

Cyrus Tan

  • Initiating a prosperous journey in the banking domain, Law Lai Peng commenced as a Relationship Manager at DBS Ltd. in 2001. A swift rise led to her elevation as a Priority Banking Relationship Manager by 2003, adroitly overseeing an impressive AUM of approximately $250 million. Notably, her adeptness in investment sales garnered her a series of accolades from 2004 to 2005.
  • In 2006, a significant juncture brought her to UOB Ltd., where she assumed the role of a Privilege Banking Relationship Manager. The trajectory of success continued as she ascended to the position of Privilege Banking Reserve Client Advisor in 2011.   • He is proficient in treasury and structured investment such as FX accumulation structure and equities linked notes, as well as in curating financial solutions in areas of corporate/commercial lending and trade financing.
